Rebel Gas/Oil was established in the 1950s near Mobile, Alabama, particularly in Whistler, Alabama. The company operated around 25 stations and had an additional 75 affiliates located in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. In 1964, Rebel was sold to Texas City Refinery, and the brand was slowly discontinued over the following years.
